CSB has officially released the LMS04 miniature electric linear module. Developed for automation applications with limited installation space, this compact linear motion unit features an overall height of only 29 mm and a minimum total length of 120 mm. While maintaining an extremely compact footprint, it integrates self-lubricating maintenance-free performance, low-noise smooth operation and customizable stroke options. It delivers a high-performance domestic miniature linear motion solution for space-constrained scenarios including 3C electronics, medical equipment, laboratory instruments and semiconductor inspection.
Intelligent manufacturing continues to trend toward miniaturization and high precision. An increasing number of automated devices face tight space constraints. In consumer electronics assembly, medical inspection instruments, small laboratory equipment and micro-inspection stations for semiconductors, the internal space reserved for motion actuators inside machinery keeps shrinking. Conventional linear modules are generally tall and bulky, making many standard models impossible to fit inside compact equipment enclosures. Some imported miniature linear modules come with high procurement costs and long lead times. They also suffer from practical drawbacks such as complicated maintenance and grease contamination, slowing down new product iteration for domestic equipment manufacturers. The market is in urgent need of a domestic miniature electric linear module that combines ultra-thin form factor, stable running performance, maintenance-free characteristics and flexible customization. The LMS04 is developed precisely to address these industry pain points.
According to product specifications, the LMS04 miniature electric linear module achieves a breakthrough in dimensional engineering. Its overall height is as low as 29 mm, and the minimum overall length reaches 120 mm. Its ultra-thin integrated structure greatly lowers the barrier for equipment integration. It fits perfectly inside compact automated machinery. The trapezoidal lead screw and guide rail are arranged in parallel within this compact assembly, integrating transmission, guidance and sliding components in a minimal envelope. It saves installation space, simplifies mechanical layout for equipment engineers, reduces overall machine size and weight, and supports miniaturization upgrades of end equipment.
Beyond its impressive dimensional specifications, the LMS04 also delivers outstanding core performance. The module adopts self-lubricating polymer sliding pairs to achieve maintenance-free operation. No additional grease lubrication is required. This eliminates regular maintenance work and prevents contamination risks caused by grease evaporation or dripping, making it suitable for working environments requiring a certain level of cleanliness. The module transmits motion smoothly during operation with low noise. It is ideal for noise-sensitive applications such as medical instruments, laboratory equipment and indoor inspection systems, ensuring stable acoustic performance during long continuous operation.
In terms of customization, the LMS04 supports freely configurable strokes according to actual working conditions, breaking the limitations of fixed-stroke standard modules. It can be equipped with HLS high-helix lead screws, available in left-hand and right-hand threads, and the lead screw material can be 304 stainless steel. Non-standard machining is available based on customer drawings to further expand application compatibility. The guide rail can be paired with the compact TR01 linear guide, with a mounting width of only 9–15 mm. The aluminum alloy base undergoes hard anodizing treatment. Combined with TRC01 guide sliders and EPB13 standard sliding films, it is easy to assemble and lightweight. The simple commissioning process shortens product development cycles for downstream OEMs and accelerates new product launch schedules.
This miniature electric linear module covers a wide range of application scenarios. In 3C electronics manufacturing, it can be deployed for small dispensing mechanisms, vision inspection moving slides, camera component assembly and PCB inspection stations to perform precise reciprocating positioning inside compact equipment for precision assembly and inspection of consumer electronic parts. In medical and laboratory automation, it can be integrated into automatic sampling equipment, sample handling devices and compact medical testing instruments. Its grease-free, clean operation meets cleanliness requirements for medical and laboratory equipment, and its smooth low-noise motion guarantees stable test and inspection data.
The product can also be applied to small semiconductor defect re-inspection equipment, compact laser processing stations, test jigs for small new-energy components and small packaging machinery. Faced with the current situation where some imported miniature motion components have long delivery cycles and high purchase costs, the LMS04 miniature electric linear module serves as a domestic alternative. Standard specifications are available from stock, and non‑custom orders are supported. It helps downstream enterprises optimize supply chains, cut procurement and time costs, and ease supply pressure for high-end miniature motion components.
A senior R&D manager at CSB stated that miniaturization is a key development direction for precision transmission components. Many machines do not lack demand for high-performance linear modules; they simply lack sufficient installation space. During the LMS04 development phase, the R&D team thoroughly investigated real pain points of domestic equipment manufacturers. Ultra-compact dimensions, maintenance-free operation and flexible customization were set as core design objectives. While shrinking the overall size, operational stability is preserved. CSB aims to empower domestic automated equipment innovation with cost-effective domestic miniature linear modules.
At present, LMS04 supports specification selection, CAD drawing download and PDF technical manual download. Customers can access full technical parameters for evaluation. Standard models are available for batch ordering and small-batch sampling. Moving forward, CSB will continue to deepen its R&D in miniature linear transmission systems, iterate the LMS series linear modules, expand more specifications for different load, stroke and environmental conditions, and deliver a wider range of compact motion solutions for intelligent manufacturing, medical, semiconductor and laboratory equipment sectors to support independent innovation and upgrading of China’s high-end machinery industry.
